Since we are private practice, we can customize our therapy to your child and your family’s individual needs. Every child is different and wonderful. We will customize our therapy to your child’s needs which improves the outcome of treatments.  We are also one of the very few certified providers of DIR floortime therapy in South Carolina.  More and more families are looking for alternative therapy to traditional, behavioral therapies because they want different results. 

Insurance companies only pay for certain therapies at the certain frequency. Instead of making sure the the certain therapies are “covered” by insurance, we want to devote ourselves in the therapies that most beneficial for the child at the frequency that is most effective. 

By providing you the free screening session, we can give you a recommendation if the child needs further evaluation and treatment. 

If further evaluation was recommended after the screening, you can make an appointment for the evaluation with the therapist. You will be asked to fill out the parent questionnaire for the evaluation and bring it to the evaluation session. After signing paperworks, the therapist will observe you and your child’s interaction. (Observation of parent-child interaction can be recorded in advance to share with the examiner.) Then, the therapist will spend about 40 minutes to evaluate your child in the area of Functional Emotional Developmental Capacities (FEDCS), Individual differences (e.g. sensory/auditory/visual processing differences),  and speech-language development.  

Screening- Free

We offer brief screening to see if the child needs further assessments. The screening usually lasts about 30 minutes. The parent will be asked to fill out parent questionnaire prior to the screening session.
